Hi Upinder,

The cause of the issue is reflected in the fact that once 28th February 2013 is scheduled, the system treats the last day of February, 2013 as an updated value (28). Hence you see the rest of the schedule calls starting from the 28th of each month.

Please note that using Scheduling Based on Key date, it is suggested not to define a key date later than 28 of a month, exactly for this reason.

You can possibly use Adapting a planned date function to maybe fulfill your business needs. The work around could be tedious but a manual adjustment can be performed.

Hope this helps!

Good Morning Upinder,

As for the Adapting a planned date function individually (Following info as available in the standard SAP help)

You can use the customer exit IPRM0002 to adapt a planned date calculated by the system individually, and, for example, represent seasonal variations for counter readings.

Features

The following function modules are available:

  • For counter-based maintenance: EXIT_SAPLIPM5_001
  • For time-based maintenance: EXIT_SAPLIPM5_002

You can also you the Call Horizon to check if the scheduling matches your requirement but that would mean that you will have to do a mass update of scheduling horizon for the month of Feb, 2013 and update the call again in March, 2013.

Planned DateCycleCycle Modification FactorChanged CycleCall Horizon planned date (Simulated)
30/10/12 1
30/11/12 1
30/12/12 1
30/1/13300.9929.728/2/13
28/2/13301.0230.630/3/13
30/3/13 1
30/4/13 1
30/5/13 1
30/6/13 1

Try and see if this solution works for your maintenance plan by using IP10 and simulate the dates for one of the plans.

Currently I don't have access to a system to simulate the same but this could be one of the solutions to try.

Hope this helps and let me know in case you need any more info.

Cheers
