How to do authorization check for personnel no (PERNR) in PM order confirmation

Hi SAP PM Guru, 

Business requires to add personnel no check during order confirmation to ensure only authorized personnel is allowed to do confirmation.

There are 2 options:

1. Personnel no. is specified in work center capacity. 

2. Personnel no. is linked to HR infotype 1001 (relationship) for qualification control. 

For either of the above mentioned, is there any authorization object which can be added in confirmation?

To ensure that only authorized personnel can confirm orders, you can use the authorization object P_PERNR (HR: Master Data – Personnel Number Check). This object allows you to control access based on personnel numbers.

Here’s how you can apply it to your scenarios:

1.
Personnel no. specified in work center capacity:
• You can use the P_PERNR authorization object to check if the personnel number assigned to the user matches the one specified in the work center capacity.
2.
Personnel no. linked to HR infotype 1001 (relationship) for qualification control:
• Similarly, the P_PERNR authorization object can be used to verify if the personnel number linked to the HR infotype 1001 is authorized for order confirmation.

To activate and configure this check, you need to set the switch for P_PERNR to 1 in the system settings www.authorizationexperts.com/sap/p_pernr/. This will enable the personnel number check during order confirmation.

Hi Alizamani, Thank you so much for your message. What I did: a. Linked personnel to user ID; b.Add the personnel in the capacity of work center c. In PFCG, add authorization object P_PERNR: AUTHC=R; Infotype:1001 ; PSIGN=I. But still other personnel which is not the work center's capacity still can do the confirmation. Would you please kindly help further?
