Hi,
1) How to create the new tabs in SAP EHS?
Well, not for everything.. but majority of tabs (for example, the tabs in DG Master etc) can be configured via customization.
2) What is the use of Workbench like (Agent work bench,Waste work bench, D.G Workbench ).
Workbench is the central interface where in you can create, edit and display the specification. The different specification types include Substance, DG Classification, Agent, Packaging and Waste Code. The purpose is to create various specification types as per the requirement so as to be used in the various sub-areas in EHS. For example, creating a DG Class finds the application in EHS-DGP where as an Agent finds the role in EHS-IHS. Each workbench has relevant t-codes, but it can be all together accessed via CG02BD.
3) What is the difference of substance and real substance..
A substance refers to a chemical element, a compound or a mixture of both.
Real substances are substances that are physically present in an enterprise that corresponds to a material in Logistics.
4) What is the Waste Code..
Very simply, a waste code refers to a code or a number that is related to a waste which in fact is defined in the waste catalog in the company.

Chris.

Dear Suresh,
Back to your questions
1) How to create the new tabs in SAP EHS,.
There are many places there you can do something; which is of interest for you? Which Tab are you looking for?
2) What is the use of Workbench like (Agent work bench,Waste work bench, D.G Workbench ).
Here Chris prrovided a nice overview regarding transaction CG02 and CG02BD. CG02BD is "simply" the more general workbench to maintain data.
3) What is the difference of substance and real substance..
Let us try it different: in EHS you have the specification category and the specification type. REAL:_SUB is a specification type normally assigned to specificatoin category "Substance"; the types and categories are used to "group" objects in EHS. Please refer to SAP online help; Please take care to use the specifciaiton category "right" as this has influence to behaviour of e.g. CG02BD
4) What is the Waste Code..
Here we have a "small" conflict because of history of EHS. In former times waste code have been created simply as "phrases" in EHS. Now the story is different. A Waste Code is represented now by a specification of type "Waste Code". Please refer to Waste documentation of EHS in SAP online help. This is little bit "special" (data maintenance etc.).

Dear Suresh,
1.
Adding a new tab to the standard SAP tabs is nothing but an enhancement of screen.
There are different type of enhancements such as program enhancements, menu enhancements, screen enhancements. This can be possible by ABAP experts. For further information, refer this blog http://www.saptechnical.com/Tutorials/ExitsBADIs/Explicit/Index.htm.

A Substance is a chemical element, a compound, or a mixture of chemical elements or compounds.A substance can make references to one or more other substances. This reference between substances enables characteristics of the reference substance to be passed on to the referencing substance.
Substances are divided up according to substance category.
The standard system contains the following substance categories:
A Real Substance is a chemical element, a component physically present inside the organization.

2.
SAP transaction CBIH92 (Agent Workbench) is classified in the Environment, Health and Safety module under application component Industrial Hygiene and Safety and runs EH&S: Industrial Hygiene and Safety program RMWBP00 upon execution.
Here we identify all the dangerous goods as agents and perform risk assessments for the chemicals which might be a threat to the environments and the people working around it.
Dangerous goods workbench is where we maintain data of all dangerous goods, perform filling of master data etc...

Hello Suresh,
For doing any modifications with standard screen or program, there is only way to go with enhancement.
Try to search Exits or BADI for the transaction you want to do this modification. There will one structure which comes up with the tabs , you will have to append to that structure, it will come up with Customer data tab.
All the best...

Chandan

Transaction Code | SPRO |
Object Type | Value Assignment Type | Description of Value Assignment Type | Category | Class |
IAL | ZSAP_EHS_1103_100 | Environmental Incident Details | IHS | ZSAP_EHS_1103_100 |
Step 2) Tab page name will be created in term of Class
Create Transaction code: Class Cl01 e.g. ZSAP_EHS_1103_100 – Environmental Incident Details
Step 3) Characteristics will be the input values and there description
Create Characteristic – CT04
Step 4) Assign the Characteristic to Class (ZSAP_EHS_1103_100)
After assignment check incident log entry , it will show that tab page.
Thanks
Sunil
