How can i do data transfer between data base and UI?

Hello

I have added a custom tab page in portfolio item, say, my_tab_page next to stnadard SAP's tab pages, the order look like as, Overview...Document & Notes...Miscellenoeus...Custom Componenet, my_tab

And i have placed 6 custom fields in this my_tab, well, i achieved this by creating a brand new WDA componenet and linking it to my_enhancement_implememntation of componenet configuration RPM_ITEM_DETAILS_OIF of component

FPM_OIF_COMPONENT

Hence when i opened any portfolio item, now i can see my_tab and the associated 6 custom fields in it, well.

I have appended my new 6 custom fields to /RPM/TS_ITEM_D_UI and there by i can see them in table RPM/ITEM_D, well

Now, pls. let me know how can do the data transfer between the user eneterd data on UI (my_tab's 6 fields) and the back end data base ( table /RPM/ITEM_D)? like, reading back from data base and populating them on UI and other way, updating the data base with user entered data on UI?

Hello,

It is possible I am wrong but I think to include these fields  you need to append the structure /RPM/ITEM_D. Then to display them in UI you have to do the right settings( not development) in SPRO
