Hello Team,

We are seeing high number of AlarmRequest_sync messages in our MEINT queue. Not sure what message is this. Can any one share details on this and also how i can disable them?

Hi Adarsha,

AlarmRequest_sync is the alarm message, which performs the same validations as if the alarm (message) was sent from the customer message sending mechanism in SAP ME such as Event Viewer.

Possible scenario: a Yield Confirmation message sent to the ERP fails, so it triggers a workflow in SAPMEINT that generates an Alarm notification request that is sent back to SAP ME in order to provide notification of the failure in the Message Board activity.

You should rather investigate the cause of these messages.

Hi Adarsha,

Due to recent migration of SCN to SAP Community, I would appreciate any update from your side just to understand whether you have seen my replies at all.

Thank you, Alex.

Should you really want to disable them, remove "Fail Handler Transaction" field for Yield/Scrap Confirmation/Backflushing Workflows in MEINT. No Alarm Notifications will be triggered at failures of these workflows then.

Hi Adarsha,

Once you create a custom workflow (i.e. ZyeildConfirmationRequest), you may specify the Partner or Customer "Fail Handler Transaction".

If you still have the default one, you may create a Z-one as a copy but without that field and use the Z-one instead.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your response. Some how i did not receive notification for your response, so i did not check your response.

i do not find an option to remove "Fail Handler Transaction" from the workflow. but i can point them to a dummy MII transaction so no action is taken. Please let me know if there is a alternate way to disable AlarmRequest_sync. We have a custom solution to monitor all ECC failures so we may not use AlarmRequest_sync.
