Has anyone worked with a customer who is making use of MDG and Product Compliance?

Are there any customers who are using MDG as well as S/4HANA Product Compliance?

Idea is to set the compliance relevant tick in MDG for the material by creating the necessary view in MDG.  Then transfer the material to S/4HANA instance.

Would that then automatically flag the Product Steward as if a new material has been created directly in S/4HANA or would a customization be required to make sure the flagging will be executed.

MDG seems not to be used often in the industry regarding the "Material part"; and "Product Compliance" is not final to be used. On top: we have the complexity with SAP Enterprise product development.

In a nutshell: for a customer of SAP it is not easy to decide: what combination of SAP products are supporting the business need as best.

As the roadmap of the solutions are different: no idea: what will be the proposed landscapa of SAP in roughly 3 - 5 years

Investment is done in "Product Compliance" and "SAP Enterprise product development".  I have not tried to check SAP MDG roadmap.

For your story: the new S/4 HANA environment has a different idea how to integrate logistic processes with Porduct Compliance. from my point of view: i can not see any valu to use SAP MDG for material management..
