Hi All,

We are implementing PPM 6.1 SP02. In our test system, I am trying to link Project definition(PS) to portfolio item using object link functionality. As soon as i search a desired project definition from search help and press continue , i m getting an error " JA 027 No authorization for action Display", because of this i am not able to link project definition  to portfolio item. I checked SU53 but it did not give any missing authorization .

Please help.

Thanks

Akhil

Hello Akhil,

I suppose that your user has the appropriate authorization to display the PS project in TA cj20n.

If yes, then most likely the authorization error is raised because the RFC user that is maintained for the object link destination is not allowed to display the project.

When you create an object link, the RFC user's authorizations are checked because the RFC call is done with this user. Therefore, please check your object link customizing and the RFC destination. If PS and PPM are on the same system, then you can maintain the destination as 'None' in customizing (so that the PPM (your) user is used). If not, then set the flag 'Current user' for the RFC destination in TA sm59.
