FM or Bapi required for Equipment System Status Update

Hi All,

Is there any BAPI or FM to update the system status of Equipment which will also update the change log?

I have already tried out I_CHANGE_STATUS, I_CHANGE_STATUS but the same does not update change log. BAPI_EQUI_GETSTATUS only shows the present status but no option to change status. BAPI_EQUI_CHANGE - did not find any field to update status...

Thanks for replying.

But the FM STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN followed by BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT does not update the change log of the Equipment.

I am trying to check if there is any standard BAPI or FM available to update the status along with keeping track of the change log. If not available then next option is to fall back on BDC.

Please use Function module STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN for system status
