Finished Good costing for projects with revenue - S/4HANA Public Cloud

Hello, everyone,

I'm using projects with production.

I would like to know if it is possible to use the project costs to perform the costing of the finished product?

I have a sales order with the Finished Good (FG) and is linked to the WBS at item level.

The production order is generated by the project requirements as described in scope item 6DG.

At the moment the system is only using the costs of the production order to determine the costing of the FG.

In this case it is a make-to-order product where there are many variations that cannot be taken into account in the production order. These variations are then allocated to the project, leading to costs that must be taken into account in the costing of the FG.

How should I proceed?

Thank you,

Best regards,

Rafael

Hello Rafael,

thanks for your patience.

I consulted with the experts and here's what they suggested:

  1. The valuation price used is depending on the type of special stock. If it’s project stock (scope item 6GD), then the valuation is based on the production order plan costs result. If it’s sales order stock, then sales order costing takes the priority if it exists (scope item BEJ or 7DM or 1YT). You may want to ask a consultant for logistics to guide you to choose the right scope item based on your process and requirements)
  2. Production lot cost estimates are currently not available in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition. You may request features on the Customer Influence Portal. We continuously review and prioritize feature requests based on customer feedback.

    Kind regards,

    Jessica
