Hi colleagues,
I want to download the Haz. Ind. (SAP_EHS_1012_004) via Standard Output mechanisms. We create a separate instance for each country so we have up to 100 instances per specification. If we now start the Output we run in the error that we can't fill more than 65536 lines into the Excel.
Is there a way to restrict the Output to a certain usage of the property eg. PUBLIC/REGION/DE which would be suffcient to reduce the numbers under 65000 data sets,
I haven't found this functionality in CG02.
Is this possible?
Best regards,
Gernot
Hello Gernot,
If you have authorization for SQVI and you know how to create the correct links between tables this might be your best solution. Apart from that I agree with Christoph, download into Excel with more than 65,000 rows should work if configured correctly.
Best,
Ralph

Hello Christian,
thank you for your reply.
The reason that we have so many instances stems from the fact that we have different standard compositions for different regions. It was a proposal from SAP to do it in that way when we implemented the current EHS.
We can't change this.
Can you tell me where I can check if the insatllation is correct because the System tries to open an xls instead of an xlsx -file.
Nonetheless I could solve this one time issue by downloading the compositions via ESTRH, ESTVH, ESTVA, ESTVP and ESTDU and joining them in the right way.
Best regards,
Gernot

Hello
as a further hint: check e.g.: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3743407

Regarding: "Can you tell me where I can check if the installation is correct because the System tries to open an xls instead of an xlsx -file."
It is long long ago since there was the need to take care regarding this, Short story is: you must prepare DMS and assign some application to the "file type". So if the file is "xls" or "xlsx" you will assign "EXCEL"; there is no difference
PLease check the listed threads (in the background some "EXCEL file" with an attached macro is used) and check for more threads Your topic is discussed quite often:

DON'T DO IT LIKE THAT. Without deep understanding of EHS data model (e.g. topic of change numbers) you will not succeed and if you have to download the data often the "output" variant is the right approach.
In higher EHS releases there is a different output variant in place: Here you can select: output via EXCEL, html etc. file: result is "not so nice" but ok (check https://help.sap.com/doc/saphelp_afs64/6.4/en-US/44/7f22a5e1c011d2b4fc006094b92d29/content.htm?no_ca...; Output Variant: SUB_OUTPUT
On top: e,g.check may be https://www.stechno.net/sap-notes.html?id=1169035 and similar discussions

Hello
the existing output variants are "examples" delivered by SAP which you can use. Or you can use them and "extend" them (by doing a "copy")
Why do you need the download in EXCEL?
Why do you have so many instances? (in most cases: does not make sense as the "list" of ingredients and the content (data as present9 is always thY same (e.g. you might use PUBLIC/REG_EU and reduce datA RECORDS9
The "newest" EXCEl can handle more than 65000 lines. please check your implementation.
