Excluding a WM Storage Type from AFS Allocation Run

Hi,

Is there a way that we can exclude a specific storage type in the warehouse from the SAP AFS SD allocation run? Currently the allocation run looks at the qtys at the SLOC level. When is doing that it is considering the total stock that is in all the storage types including 999 which is for the differences. We are having issues with customer service because the stock in 999 is getting allocated which we might or might not have physically.

To make sure the allocation job looks at only what we have physically, we need a way to exclude the 999 storage type from the allocation. Please let me know if there is a way to achieve this. Thanks for all the replies...

We have had the same question several times in our organization, and we have had to reject their request every time.

What we have done for the 999 area, has been to instruct our warehouse staff to use a stock category S so long as the quant are placed in the 999 area. In that way allocation (ATP) will not be awailable
