EHS Classic / Specification export

Dear all

we are using EHS Classic specification export/import options now since years without any problem.

Now we have seen a problem. May be you have an idea on that. I searched SAP Marketplace. I could found something similar but the error correction was done LONG ago.

As you know: we have "identfiers", "Phrases" and "User Defined Texts" in the game.

For identifiers (as an example): we can maintain "long text".

Now we have realized the first time since using the SAP EHS Export option: during the export: not the full idenfier is extracted but only a part. Never detected something similar before.

Since year I have some "doubts" in "long text" maintenance in SAP EHS. There are some "similar" threads running here as well (topic of: which editor is used to maintain the data etc.). In most cases: the trouble comes up with asian etc. languages.

But here we have a "normal" language (PL). Looking on the identifier: anything seems to be in good state (no issues as well in SDS). But during the extraction: the identifier is not exported 100%. We have checked on many level (e.g. tried to convert the identifier to a "hexbyte" look and feel..) but we could not identify any "special" character.

On SAP marketplace i could find a very old OSS note for "phrases" (phrase export) and issues with "long texts".

Any idea here?

We will start any how OSS Dialog. The option to "import" and "export" is to critical to ignore the problem

Hello

as an information for those who are interested: SAP has informed us that may be by implementing two additional OSS Note corrections the topic might be removed. We still investigate here. The implementation of one of the two OSS notes did not help. We investigate for the second one.

The extraction of EHS data using the SAP Standard is needed quite often on our side.

Hello Satya

normally: we do "export" only via Standard EHS export and we expect: This should work, even if we have a "long text". But your hint in the our thread might be helpful. I will check abain.

Hi christoph.bergemann

I have had a similar issue before but not for PL languages and we used an extraction using BAPI, with the BAPI table IDENT_LONGTXT without any issues.
