Hello,
Could you any one help me with my question please?
We have EH&S WWI 3.2 patch 11 and this needs to be updated to patch 20 with UC compatible.
I was able to get the details and related SAP notes for making it UC compatible. But I am unable to find the steps on updating the patch.
Can anyone let me know the steps involved in updating the patch for EH&S WWI and the procedure.
Thank you for you kindly help,
regards,
San

Hi,
Check note 568302, if you haven't gone through this.

Hello Ravindra,
Thank you for the reply and the SAP note.
I have referred the note earlier, but my question is do we just execute the .exe file (patch file) in the existing system and this would update the patch level ? or are there any procedure to update?
As i was not able to get a clear understanding on the steps for updating the patch on EH&S WWI.
the note says :-
These are complete setups that can be installed independently. The highest patch level always contains the corrections from all lower patch levels. You do not need to uninstall an existing EH&S Expert installation of the same version. The setups with Version 2.7B and 3.2 are the same.
patch level :-
EHSEXP32_21-20000082.EXE : Support Package 21
EHSEXP32_22-20000082.EXE : Support Package 22
Thank you,
San
Hello Santos
a small add on additionally to what has been explained: if you use a new version of WWI make sure that this new version is used on any platform. That means any WWI server must/should get the new version and any client should get the new version.
Keep in mind that you need (if used EH&S GLM) a separate WWI installation regarding GLM and you need to changes this generation server as well to the new WWI version.
If you are not preparing the WWI version on any platform strange effects can occur in report generation and display etc.
Furthermore: make sure that the WWI.ini is the same everythere etc.
With best regards
C.B.
Hello Ralph
Thanks for your reply . I have installed the patch just by clicking the exe file, it brings an option to install from scratch or just update the current installation, and updating doesn´t change the RFC connections and so on everything works fine now.

Hello Santosh
I have exactly the same problem , need to Patch EH&S expert server , the note says just to execute the exe file. Did executing the new exe effect the services already installed or files which contain RFC definitions ? Did you need to execute any additional steps after ? I would appreciate if you share your experiences.
