Hi ECTR specialists!
I just found out, that in ECTR 1.1.6.0 the "@PLM_INSTDIR@\basis\sys\win\bin\VEConverter.bat" is not there anymore.
But in the most recent Dtype template of the CAD interface of SolidWorks,SP31, it is still there as method to start the client converter.
Did I miss something? I couldn't find anything in the WIKI "Whats new in ECTR" or "FAQ"
Please advise!
best regards ,
Martin
Request clarification before answering.
Hello Martin,
the VEConverter.bat was removed with the simplification of the ECTR installation.
With
5.2.4.0/1.1.4.0 all batch files that were ECTR specific were removed
and with 5.2.6.0/1.1.6.0 the VEConverter.bat has been removed too.
The Java Code of ECTR now calls the VEConverter.exe directly.
In the SAP Notes 2779488 you can find the tasks [PLM-31006] - Simplified: Removed VEConverter.bat and [PLM-30435] - Improved: Default bat-free starting environment.
It is still possible to use the script call from the DType configuration.
To use this method, the VEConverter.exe has to be be called directly instead of the VEConverter.bat.
For this the file path in the script command must be changed to @PLM_INSTDIR@\VEConverter\VEConverter.exe.
Best Regards,
Frank
