Does EPD Collaboration need a separate content server

We have a content server for S/4 HANA in a private cloud. EPD runs on a public cloud. Do we need a separate content server for EPD or can use the content server in a private cloud. SSL are activated in both.

As far as i know, EPD Collaboration uses its own HANA database as repository, it does not use or connect to Content Server. However EPD Product Structure connects to Content Server as per the link:
