DMC offline capabilities

Hi,

Can DMC hold information if SAP is not available.. Example GI are cached and does it sync once SAP is back online?

Hello,

yes, messages are stored either in SAP DM and/or Cloud Integration Suite and retried.

Hi Michael,

We have tried testing by removing the CPI destination in 'Manage Business Setting application in DM.
And all execution message types were getting failed ex. GR, in 'Integration Message Dashboard',
then again we maintained CPI destination and retried the failed message types & It got completed.
But In S4 Hana we cant see any reflection of Good Movement & confirmation of the order.

So can you confirm when S4 Hana is down and later when system is up all retried failed messages will be updated in S4 Hana?

Hi, in this case you should check your connection between CPI and S/4HANA.

The DM Integration Message Dashboard should give you a CPI workflow or correlation ID and you have the option to fetch the CPI logs.

Generally, SAP DM can work decoupled from a online ERP connection, and queued messages will be posted upon reconnection. But this is dependent on the exact implementation, as there might be live, synchronous calls into ERP or EWM for specific use cases.
