Hello Experts,
I am facing an issue related with the DG classification creation by executing DG Expert rule. But I am not sure if what I am looking for, as mentioned below, is a correct standard SAP function or my understanding is more than the standard functionality given.
Normally we assign DG Classification to Real_Sub via Reference or Inheritance Relationship and UN listed substance are assigned to DG Classification. All this process is done manually.
But there is also a standard process wherein when you execute DG rule on Real_sub, the system creates DG classification if it is not available in the System (correct me if wrong).
In my case, the DG classification is created through DG rule, but it is not getting assigned as Inheritance relationship or Reference in Real sub. Besides, when I open this DG classification, I cannot see the UN Listed substance automatically assigned in the Transport classification tab. Identifiers are available in header. More so, when I open this newly created DG classification specification, I see some values in Transport classification tab but without UN listed substance against each DG Regulation as mentioned earlier but once you click on SAVE, entire transport classification tab is blank again.
My doubt here is, when such DG classification is created through DG rule,
1) Does it gets automatically assigned to Real_sub as Reference or Inheritance relationship based on the settings in rule sets?
2) Does this UN Listed substance gets assigned by its own in DG classification in Transport classification tab?
3) If both the above features are true, then what shall be the reason for not having the issue mentioned above?
Thanks,
Ashish

Thank Dears,
Your comments are correct , but as I mentioned earlier, It created DG_CL_SUB when I executed the DG expert rule on Real_Sub. And this is the exact functionality mentioned in the documentation of DG rule. I have pasted here the excerpts DG Rule little older version 1904. But in my case it only created DG_CL_SUB and does not perform any further assignments.
However, it is possible that I am missing something while interpreting this para. Please correct me in that case.
Thanks
Ashish

Hello
i am not aware that the "rule set approach" is able to generate a "DG_CL_SUB" or "LS_UN_SUB". This is according to my understanding "manual work" (but we do not use the "Verisk Ruleset").
Discussions in industry / with SAP etc. has shown: the use of rule sets does help. But it is not possible to deploy a ruleset for any "DG use". There is always some limitation (difficult topic to explain here).

Hi Ashish,
Its not possible with standard scenario that LS_UN_SUB level rules will create a DG_CL_SUB.
Cause of below reasons DG_CL_SUB should be referenced with LS_UN_SUB , you need maintain certain data manually at DG_CL_SUB level , may be based on custom requirement it might be possible that shell for created , then you need to maintain the data at DG_CL_SUB level.
But it's not possible in standard way DG_CL_SUB based on rules, it looks unrealistic in standard way.
I hope this helps

Actually Spec 0000100000257 is a DG_CL_SUB that got created as seen in the pic. And we have also manually created UN_LIST_SUB for 2810 which is available in the system.
As I said earlier, I am not sure if it is correct to assume that if all the conditions meet then;
1) DG_CL_SUB is created and automatically assigned to Real_sub as Reference or Inheritance
2) And If the LS_UN_SUB that is detected is available in the system, then it gets assigned to the DG_CL_SUB in transport classification tab.
is this possible?

Hello Ashish,
spec 10000257 is what spec type? Seems to me the LS_UN_SUB for UN 2810 is missing or for one of the other regulations than IATA no PURE_SUB is found as hazard inducer.

Hi Ashish,
The rule set finds the correct DG_CL_SUB 1*257. But when this DG_CL_SUB was created, no LS_UN_SUB was assigned, probably due to incorrect mapping. However, the rule set will never change a DG_CL_SUB! So what yould do is this:
1) Make sure the LS_UN_SUB(s) mentioned in the mapping for UN 2810 Class 6.1 exist in the system
2) Delete all identifiers from 1*257
3) Run the rule set again
Best,
Ralph
Hello Ashish,
Do you get any messages from the DG rule set?
Best,
Ralph
