Hello Olaf,

Yes Dangerous goods management functionality is used to limit DG incompleteness in sales order, delivery, shipment. We have DG regulations which have validity areas where we have countries updated. You can refer the below links which will help you understand the functionality in depth. Thanks.

Here is a dangerous goods document which covers Dangerous Goods Management,

Hey Olaf,

Switch off in the sense you don't want to perform DG checks ?? i dint get your question here can you elaborate exactly what you trying to do.

See here all the logic behind master data maintenance according to regulation only ...

Example mentioned by Christoph Bergemann US DOT...

Please go through the links twice or thrice you will get answers for your query.

I hope this clarifies your query. Please close the thread if the query is answered

Thanks

Thank you both for the very detailed links. Does that mean also that we can switch off a DG check for a selected US state as well ?

Dear Olaf

there is no "easy" answer to your question. Assuming: we have a DG master; assuming you would like to execute some DG check eg. on delivery level:

in most cases because of legal reasons you would like to check "deeper" and not to "skip" checks.

You need to differentiate. DG Check topic is not easy: in principle. the syste, tries to identify the "modes of transport" and collect other information e.g. from delivery: by using this information the system  tries to link to one or more regulations to check. BUt then in most cases check as simple as;

you have sales org e.g. in US

you transport the material within US from location A to B; now it is "important" to understand how the DG regulation is identified. E.g. USA: yes we have many states there: But in most cases the "USDOT" regulation is valid in New MExico or Nevada (any state of USA). So why to skip the check?? In most cases this is not the set up used, Yes: may be you have issued in "DG master data setup". But I assume you would lile to do the transport according to regulation. So you hvae to mainfain data, released the data and then to use it in process. in 2016 (and 2015 i believe) DG questions aren't raised often. Some references can be found here:

IN any case: the threads and links highlighted by Satya are the most important
