Hello,

I need to know how can we delete a change request for SAP Management of change.

Steps

After I enter all the data for a change request like object type, object proposed date, change definition details we have 2 options i.e. save as draft or save and submit.

1. Lets say I have clicked save as draft. So now the Change request is created and a change request number is generated. Now I click Edit. I get only two options save and submit or cancel. But there is no delete functionality seen.

2. Now I click Save and submit. So data is saved successfully. Change Request is now submitted for review. Click edit and below options are available

Cancel/ Review complete/Resubmit/reject/not applicable and hold.

Now at this point I want to delete the change request. How can I do it?

Thanks,

Rohan

Hello Ralph,

Thanks for your response. But I cannot use Reject functionality. We have a definite use of reject functionality as part of KPI. So for me reject is linked to one of the activity. When the approver clicks reject in the activity I will be updating user status as rejected by approver and in turn the system status will be set to rejected. So at the end of the month we will generate a report which says how many CR's are rejected in BI. probably I can then see one option i.e. Not Applicable.

But I was wondering if not on front end then do we have any option in the back end i.e. any report or BOPF?

Hi Rohan,

Were you ever able to find a solution for deleting change requests in Management of Change? Any job or BOPF?

Hello Rohan,

At this point in time I don't think you can delete it anymore. The CR is created and saved. Reject it is probably the best way to move forward.

Best,

But Ralph can we delete it? If yes then at what stage?
