is there any way to define the default document type to be created by each shared folder in Easy DMS?

you can do this in the "Preferences" menu in EasyDMS on the second tab (System ID/client). Here you find the fields "Document type" and "Folder type". Please use the "Folder type" field to define your default document type for creation of folders.
