Dcom settings for pco installation?

HI Everyone,

I am installing the PCO 2.3.

Here opc server is and pco are installed on different machines so do I make D-come settings on both the machines ?

And please let me know the that Dcom setting would be similar on both the machines.

We have OPC server as Honeywell R310.

Hi Pooja,

Yes, you will have to configure DCOM Security on both the PCo Server and the Honeywell OPC Server in order to be able to make the OPC connectios.  You should follow the DCOM configuration recommended by Honeywell as each DCOM configuration may be different.

You may want to consider installing the Honeywell OPC server component on the PCo server instead.   This will eleminate the DCOM configuration requirement.
