Hi,
Sorry, but I looked for a clear definition in SAP documentation on what´s "Errors Found" in CVD1 report shipping, but it is not clear to me. Could you guys please provide a clear definition?
Then, based on "Errors Found" definition, is it possible to not have any more "Errors Found" in CVD1 report? I mean, suddenly "Errors Found" disappeared from my CVD1 report since February this year and now I just see "Released" as a Status Text. What could changed?
Thanks in advance.
Igor

Hello
sorry again you are asking simple questions which are very basic in the context of report shipment.
In a nutshell:
CVD1 shows you, if a report is missing (version 0.0) (you can do analysis as well using SE16/SE16N with table CVDDH for such topics) .
RCVD_RESTART_RS has many purposes (please check online help); e.g. if now we have a "released report".. this can be helpful.
Based on your story... there was only a limited check in CVD1 the last weeks/months/years to check for missing reports.
According to my understanding: From legal point of viw: you "must" deliver the SDS (in most cases) even if the delivery is "long ago" (e.g. 2 years ago)... But the more "pragmatic" version is: only check those CVD1 entries from last 12 months and create the corresponding released WWI reports and then go on. (PAY ATTENTION: Legal situation is different in US and CA; here you "MUST" do something (in most of the cases).
The "check" of CVD1 (and anything around) (to find missing released reports) is a "must" to by done by the business. It is not related to "IT support"
The ABAP Report is to be used only under specific circumstances (never used this report the last 24 months).
But using CVD1 we have a "work around". E.g. you can prepare a "hit list" basd on some selections criterias. This hit list would show only those report shipment orders which you would like to "retrigger" (e.g. "error found") By using the options in CVD1 exactly this "retrigger" is possible.
But CVD1 is "not niece" transaction (performance can be really bad).
So it is recommended to use "good" selection parameters (e.g. "Sales org"; "SD_CALL"; may be only looking on "US" SDS first .. But CVD1 is "slow"

PS: the ABAP report is mentioned e.g. (sorry german link; but there should be an english version as well) here https://help.sap.com/doc/b40147470cb8451d8e6a21fa44cf85a9/6.04.19/de-DE/EHS_ManagementD.PDF
but in "online help" as well

Hello
sorry. This is a very basic questions which is clearly answered in the online help of SAP
In a nutshell:
In most cases the "released WWI report" to use in report shipment process is missing so that the process can not go on.
If the system was set up properly: in the background an ABAP report should be scheduled checking such cases.
If then an user has released the needed report: the process will go on "next day"
please check online help for more details

Hello Christoph,
as I am also having the same problem: were you referring to the report RCVD_RESTART_RS? And is this report the only way to update the Report Version in CVD1 after creating the missing WWI reports?

Here are some background informations: we have errors in CVD1 due to missing "released WWI reports". Until now the customer never ran RCVD_RESTART_RS. So over the years a lot of errors accumulated.
We are afraid that if we ran that report, several years old SDS's will be shipped to the customers and thus spamming them.
Is there another way to update the Report Version in CVD1? And is there maybe a way to update only for selected entries (or deliveries) in CVD1?
Thanks in advance
Hoang
