Custom Statuses for Specifications in EHS

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement where i need to implement new Specification Statuses for the user.

Those custom statuses are

• Specification Defined ,
• Refined,
• Reviewed ,
• Released ,
• Obsolete.

We have standard Standard statuses in the system

Now as per the requirement i want to see the custom status for the specifications. Is this possible ? how i can achieve this ? please guide me.

Your suggestions and tips will help me a lot,

Hello

there are many topics to consider here.

1.) one topic is regarding the "Access" rights; normally an user has only "specific" rights to change the status; if you implement now customer specific ones. you must (or should) consider thesenew status in your access concept (and you need a good "blue print" for this access right story)

2.) There are not more than may be 5 threads discussing "Status" existing in this FORUM here. Overall: you can "extend" the status net with customer specific status (check IMG etc.). You must defined then the "status" to use (in which sequence etc.)

You can define (refer to IMG) special actions to start per "status". Here you need ABAP code etc.

I do not know lot of SAP customers using this "Status"...
