Create quotation with BOM and routing

Hi everyone,

I try to improve the quotation process in my company.

Actually we're using excel to create the quotation and copy the Bom,prices,leadtime into SAP.

Loss of time,traceability,mistakes typing and so on...

2 questions:

1- is it possible to create a quotation in Sap including the Bom with the products existing in the database and also new ones but not created in system because not purchased yet (like temporary material or ghost material)

2- can i include routing,meaning production time as labor cost in the quotation with the BOM?

Our process from excel quotation creation,send to customer for validation by mail, to finally create SAP Bom & routing is too slow and inefficient.

Too much paperwork, i would like to create everything from SAP since the beginning once and for all.

Is there someone who can advice me on this?
