Create External Operation in a Work order with Control key PM02. BAPI_ALM_ORDER_Maintain

I'm creating a Handheld Screens and in this one of the scenario in Create Work order is to create external operation with the use of Control Key "PM02". Does the BAPI_ALM_Order_Maintain will do this job or have to combine some other BAPI's along with this?

If anybody has done it previously, can you please let me know how it could be achieved.

Hi,

Yes, there is no problem creating a external operation (like PM02) from BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.

Specify the control key and any other fields that may be required depending on your configuration.

Did you already try to use the BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN with object type OPERATION and method CREATE?

Check also for your system if the enhancements of the BAPI provided by SAP in recent years are already available on your system.
