Hi all,

I’m working with cProjects 3.1, not installed in CRM Platform. At this moment I have accounting integration, the system create an internal order to collect the costs.

My doubt is:

If I want to install the cProjects 3.1 in the CRM platform, I’m going to have the PS integration (costs and revenues are collected on the Project WBS), but I’m going to lose the accounting integration (internal order) or not?

It’s possible the multi-object integration (Project and Internal order)?

Thanks,

Alexandra Pires

Reema,

If you are using cProjects 3.1, you need to have CRM setup... with all middle ware configured for Project replication. This is just like accounting integration... but you create a Project , not an internal order. The costs and revenues are collected on the Project WBS.

If you are using cProjects 4.0, you have to use multi-objetc controlling. This lets you create multiple WBS for a single cProject. But, the standard solution works only with ERP 2005. There is consulting solution offered by SAP, if you are using versions earlier to ERP2005.

Hi Reema,

SAP offers a consulting solution that creates a Project in 4.7 for a cProject. And, it also gives the ability for CATS Integration. You can post time against a cProject Object. I was on a demo of this solution last week.

As you might be aware, the consulting solution from SAP comes as a special priced package.

Dear Rajesh,

If we talk about cProjects to PS integration, what does it actually mean? Does it mean only creating a project from cProjects to PS.

My business scenario requires me to have integration between cProjects and PS such that any schedule change or duration change in one should reflect in the other. Does the SAP consulting solution throw some light even on this?

Hi,

With cProjects 4.0 multilevel controlling is possible. For the project type multilevel controlling (either automatic or manual) could be chosen. It can be either for the project elements or the for the project roles. Once you are on the accounting tab and by choosing account assignment you may notice that for every cProjects element a corresponding WBS element getting created in the Project system. We can do costing thereafter for the WBS elements in the Project systems. Please ensure that the destinations are set in the backend. In case anymore information is needed please let me know.
