Hi Vishvesh,
You can do the same via transaction BS02 ( Create/Change status profile). Once done, you can create your own user defined statuses for the status profile, and assign them the authorization keys.
Kindly let me know if you needed any more help.

Thanks a lot for the info. I have one more doubt on the same.
The status getting populated in "Change Status" drop down is through customization in SPRO?. I dont think it is been customized and also they dont maintain a standard table for this. They have used a domain "DPR_PROC_STATUS" for those standard status.
Can you please suggest on the same. Can we add more status there in the domain, will it have some impact.
Hi
As Vivek already explained, you can have user status in bs02
now here you can maintain the status as one maintains in R/3 or ECC
create an auth Key in BS52 for status which needs approval
maintain the same auth key in bs02 against status
what you have to do is create a role using pfcg and assign that key in that role
assign the role to user which ll approve the status to next status.
Select object type which will give you the applicability of status profile.
e.g the status profile is to be used for project / task / checklist etc etc...
The user statusses are visible once you select the status in 3rd tab of project

Hi Visvesh,
The system status of cProject can not be enhanced. But in the Tab 'Status' of the project, you can assign a status profile to the involved project. In the customizing, you find the item 'Create/Change Status Profile for User Status' under 'Basic Settings' of cProject.
Kind regards,
Zhenbo
