cProjects 4.0 - Decision Maker Problem

Dear all,

I have create a business partner with the roles :General, Employee and Internet User.

I have also maintained his address, email id and telephone.

In cProjects front-end, I have created a project with an approval phase. I have also created resources in this project and assigned the above mentioned Business partner to that role under the staffing tab.

Next I go to the phase and select Approval tab. I click on the Create approval button.

Here undr the decision maker tab, when I say add, I get the role in the dropdown box.

After selecting the role, the decision maker dropdown DOES NOT get populated with the Business Partner name?

Hence I cannot begin the approval.

Hi Reema.

Which hotpacke does your cProject system have. As I remember, I had the same issue some time ago (at least 3 months), and it is solved by a note. I hope, that the SP of cProject is not 04 or 05.

Hi Reema,

in transaction BP you have to check if the persons have a personnel

number and a user in tab strip identification for business partner

role employee.

Actually you can set up a Decision Maker if business partner linked

to some system user. Otherwise it doesn't make any sense.

Hi Reema,

please be sure that user was assigned to the business partner. Otherwise which user can approve the phase ? So, T/c. BP - check tab 'Identification' whether

a user is assigned there.

have you maintained any dates in the assignment business partner <-> role.

Which authorization does the user have (the user, who is trying to start the approval?)

I have not maintained any dates in the assignment of BP - Role.

User that is creating the approval as well as the one who is assigned as the decision maker has the foll auth:

SAP_CPR_PROJECT_ADMINISTRATOR

SAP_CPR_TEMPLATE_ADMINISTRATOR

SAP_CPR_USER
