Dear PS Experts,
In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition Professional Services app "Plan Customer Projects", the WBS element ending with 0.1 gets created automatically with billing element indicator as superior to the expense WBS ending with 1.1, which is the work package assigned to the billing item in the Billing tab. (This superior relation is observed in the CDS view I_ENTERPRISEPROJECTELEMENT as well.)
However, when we assign the expense WBS elements ending with 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. to expenditures, these costs do not flow up to the billing WBS elements ending with 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, etc. However, the project billing is done only for the billing WBS elements. As a result, in the app "Project Profitability", we do not get to see the Margin mapped against each work package, as shown in the screenshot below.
Even if I create PO line items with the billing WBS elements ending with 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, etc., the timesheet hours of the resources are mapped by default against the expense WBS elements ending with 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc.
Kindly inform me how I can correct this, thank you.

Pratap.

I feel like Archimedes now, only I do not have a bathtub. Thank you. And thank you @RogerEarle, I figured out the method and then I saw your answer.
Solution: Right-click on WBS Element column and choose Select Hierarchy.
Just click Search and you will get an SAP default hierarchy for WBS. Then click OK.
Viola! We have the desired result, as answered by @RogerEarle. We can then just sort it by the ID, and also expand the hierarchy.

Pratap.

To measure profitability by Work Package you need to create separate Billing Items for each work package. This aligns the Work Package WBS to the Billing WBS 1:1.
