Consumption for Component from DM not executed in S/4 Backend

Hi Everyone,

we're struggling with the consumption posting triggered from DM to our S/4 Backend (Production Order Scenario).

In DM everything seems to be fine but in S/4 the confirmation remains in the "predefined confirmation process".

The component is waiting for the consumption posting with movement type 261. Before that production supply was done by MIGO with movement type 311 to DM-managed destination storage location.

(nothing is happening when we trigger the postprocess...)

We checked all steps described in the integration guide

1) Control Key which does not allow Auto Goods Receipt:

2) Operation Sequence not checked

3) Define immediate posting triggered by PDC System

Do we miss a step here?

I'd be glad about any suggestions.

Hi Christoph, 

 After you perform the component consumption, check app "integration Message dashboard", if there is message generated against message type "Production order Good issue" and any error associated. Also check collaboration link configuration maintained against Good issue for production order as below?

Hi Rahul,

we checked everything on site of DM - CPI - Cloud Connector. Everything seems to be okay here.

In the meantime we managed to post the goods issue via using the report CORUPROC in S/4. The report collects those "predefined records" and finally triggers the posting.

But we're not quite sure if this is working as intended?

Hi Christoph, After performing material/component consumption in DM WC-POD , navigate to "Integration message dashboard" app and share the message screenshot of "Good Issue for production order". As you mentioned your DM configs are done right then I am hoping the Good Issue message will be there in the integration message dashboard . BTW which POD are you using , Workcenter or Order POD ? Thanks

Hi Christoph, Integration message looks fine , Now 1 . if you have maintained the collaboration link COLLABORATION_GOODS_ISSUE_CONFIRMATION mapped to the directive GOODS_ISSUE_CONFIRMATION in the Manage Collaboration Links app, it should trigger an RFC/BAPI call to S/4 ,Check a successful RFC request trace in CPI against this consumption request ,261 should be posted , Check MB51 in ERP 2. check the consumption qty against the base qty , meaning if the qty is very small to reflect ? If all ok , will suggest to open an incident and look for product expert opinion. Thanks Rahul

Hi Rahul,

for now this should be sufficient as an solution. We checked all points that you mentioned here, everything is working fine. The missing step is still the way how the consumption can be processed automatically in S/4 Backend. When using the report CORUPROC the consumption is finally processed as expected and material document gets created. So yes, it's a solution. The reason why it is not working without report is still open...
