Hello,
I have a GSE indicator passing values to a sigma software installed in a pc, the values are sent via serial port, i want to read the values and send them to MII, i installed OPC Server for GSE Scale Systems 460 Series Indicators in this PC but when i configure this OPC server i use the port that is receiving the data but this way i can no receive the data because the por is used by matrikon.
How is the correct way to read this data? how is the correct matrikon configuration?
My matrikon configuration is like this:
And the i try to read the data in OPC explorer
Is that correct?
thanks in advance, Best regards.
Victor

Hi Victor,
If you have other software on the PC connecting to the GSE, then you will not be able to connect Matrikon to the GSE via the same serial port. I think the GSE 460 has two serial ports, so you would need to connect Matrikon to the device on a separate serial port. If your PC does not have 2 serial ports, you will need to install an additional serial port card to provide the connection. Another option is to use Ethernet via an optional Ethernet module that can be installed in the GSE.

Hi Steve, thanks for your time.
So, can i send the data to the 2 ports? How can i know the modbus address of the data?
if i Connect vÃa other serial port i think this could be The same problem, i will try to recieve the data in this port but if i configure the matrikon i will use the port and block the port to recieve data.
best regards, Victot
Hi Steve,
I am reading the manual but i do not understand very good.
My question is, how can i just read the port without block it?
Best Regards, Victor
