Component list empty in Default Workcenter POD

Hello

In the Default Workcenter POD, the component list is always empty for Production Orders.

The following configuration is used for the "component List"

The Production Orders has the local BOM attached to it, as shown below in the app "Manage Orders"

Hello Thomas,

it seems your components are not assigned to any operation activities (see the respective column in your screenshot).

Your data constellation with a order-specific Routing (looking at the Operation ID) and a DM-local BOM, you cannot put in the order-specific operations into the BOM, as this would need to be updated for every incoming order.

You need to create DM-local Operation Activities and then enrich your ERP Routing to map to those in the Shop Order creation workflow. For this go into the ERP Routing transaction CA02 and enter the corresponding values of your DM-local Operations Activities in the column on the very right (ME Operation & Version).

In your DM-local BOM you can now assign the components to that local Operation Activity and all orders will map their Routing step to that object.

Be aware, with a local BOM it is not straightforward to trigger component consumption messages, but I believe you are aware of that.

Let me know if this helped you.

I have the components tab populated now but the buttons "assemble" do not trigger any actions.
Do you know what could cause this?

Hi Thomas,

You should see the component assembly in the SFC and Genealogy Reports.

However, as you are working with a DM-local BOM, this will not trigger any outbound consumption messages to ERP (see my last statement above). With this BOM being unknown to ERP, there are no fitting component reservations for this.

If you want to do explicit material consumptions without any reference to the ERP BOM, then we need to dive deeper into customizations.

Maybe you could state the background and use case of this constellation, as an ERP-Order with ERP-Routing, but a DM-local BOM is something I haven't seen in the real world, yet.

Hi Thomas,

in the BOM I do not see any assignment on operation => no component assigned => no component will show up on the operation.

There is no configuraiton on POD plugin which will influence this behaviour. It is dependent on the component assignment in the BOM.

Best regards

Katja
