Co-Hosting Website Files With MII 12.1

Hello Experts,

We are running applications in MII 12.1. In a different environemnt (on different unrelated servers) we are a basic website. We would like to consolidate servers and host the website on the MII servers also. My basic question is, is there an easy way to do this in a 12.1 environment?

In 11.5 this is easy. You just put the files under the website root and you are good to go. I was hoping it would be equally simple in 12.1 but my Basis team is telling me that is not the case. I am told that it would have to be handled like an MII application. That seems like too much overhead for basic website files. We don't want to have to use the MII Workbench for this sort of thing. Is there a simpler way to do this?

Thanks,

Mike

Sounds like a perfect use case for Virtual Hosts (sort of like a virtual directory in IIS).

Look in the nwa application under Configuration Managment...Connectivity

--> Java HTTP Provider Configuration

"Virtual Host can act as several different Web servers responding to different URLs, but referring only to a single real IP address. A user can gain flexibility by providing different configuration settings for each of the virtual hosts that can be both created and configured. Logon load balancing increases the efficiency of various workgroups. To improve performance and system resource consumption users are distributed across available application servers based on the requirements of workgroup service and load sensitivity."
