cmd.exe is not allowed in our virtual workspace - therefore ECTR can't start

Hi community,
We plan to run ECTR in a Citrix-based environment for non-CAD-Users.
Due to security reasons it won't be allowed there for the "normal user" to start the cmd.exe or to execute scripts.
When the cmd.exe and scripts are not allowed, I can't start ECTR.
Its very clear, that's because of the several plm_initialize.bat in several folders, which are run with the cmd.exe during the start procedure. At least that's easy to find in the console...log
We were wondering if it would be possible to run copies of the batches in advance and then calling the dsc_StartPlm-exe...
Will ECTR start then?
Are there any ideas?

Are there plans to get away from all of the batch files, (and ini and xml files)?

Best regards
Martin

it is possible to start ECTR without any .bat files - just remove all them. In this case ECTR will rely on sap gui landscape customizing and show all SAP Systems in logon UI from it.

Although ECTR (5.2.3+) starts in such setup, this kind of setup is not tested yet and i am not sure if ECTR and all the Integrations "behind" of ECTR will function properly.

The upcoming release 5.2.4.0/1.1.4.0 will support bat-free environments and will contain no bat-files (beside of templates/examples) by default, although the customer will still be able to create own bat-files. But the ECTR "itself" will require no batch files anymore by default.

Thanks a lot for that information!
I'm looking forward to learn how the "parameters", which are currently set with batch files, are then set in 1.1.4 .0
