Dear Gurus,
there is a requirement from my client to provide end date to close incident, is it possible if yes how.
secondly i have created some incidents like 001,002,003, 004, now when i created 005 i didnt saved it canceled it , so next number i am getting is 006, i mean nos are not in sequence, is there any option to resolve this, as in QM and PM notification a temp no is assigned till you not save the notification.

If you are in classic EH&S, you can maintain an additional value field for this requirement using class and charcteristics options under 'Additional Data' tab (or for that matter you can create a new tab altogether also).
If you entered the details, and system picked up an internal number from number range but couldn't save it, then it skips that number. The number gets consumed and I guess you can't get it reassigned. At max, you can create same incident again using external number range (if you have allowed in number range settings) and probably giving number as E05 (if it makes sense ) . EHS is different than PM/QM as here no 'early number allocation' exists which is the case with PM/QM.
