Closing of Work Instructions Viewer in case WI are open in New Browser TAB

Hi experts,

I have one case by one of our customers who is using the WI which are coming from ERP DMS system as PRT on operation level.

On SAP DMC we receive the correct URL and we are able to see the list of all WI.

When I select one of the WI the DMC is firstly calling the Work Instruction Viewer and after this the Work Instructions are open in NEW TAB.

The question from my side is: Is it possible to hide or automatically close the Work Instruction Viewer on POD side in case the WI are defined that they will be open in new TAB? In my case operator need to close the new TAB and then with additional click need to close the WI Viewer even on Viewer there was no document.

Hello Darko,

I'm afraid that's not possible out of the box. But you can investigate if you can extend Work Instruction List and/or Viewer plugins to implement something to meet your requirements. See Implementing Core Plugin Extensions and:

We want to extend a Data collection plugin as below. Basically if I have multiple groups configured, I want to display one beside the other like icon tab bar instead of one below the other. Is that possible? If so what should I import in BAS as for POD plugin we have a app structure. But for core dmc we have only 4 files. It would be helpful if we get more on how to extend and add it in service registry

I have gone through this link and previous threads. But there is no detail on what the project structure should look like at the time of deploying the extension. For POD plugins, these details are given. The previous threads also have stopped at this query. In the git, the examples show only below files for all extensions but not clear on what should I import in BAS . Also there is no view part in this and only controllers. Kindly guide on the above
