Changing Location type in SAP EHS

We have imported locations from EAM into EHS, in doing so we have assigned the LOCATION TYPEs... to assist with some BI reporting, we would like to change the location types assigned, but cannot see how to do this.

We are using S4/Fiori app EHFND_UI_LOCATION_OIF.

Hello Alan,

This is not possible from the application Edit Location (once the Location is already created).

If you are doing an import of Locations, you can consider changing the Location type while migration.

Hi Konstantin, is there a reason why the location types are fixed on creation?

If I wrote my own code to update this, would it break the system?

Hello Alan,

There is a customizing activity available in Transaction SPRO. It is called "Spacify Location Types", located under "Environment, Health, and Safety" -> "Incident Management" -> Master Data Configuration" -> "Locations".

thanks for the response, but it is the Location Type assigned to the Location that I want to change, not the list of available location types (so master data, not config)....
