When we change and save the Item Name, the text in Description box gets erased.
Any way we can fix this to not erase the Description?

Hi,
where do you change the name? In the standard SAP user interface?
Have you implemented any enhancements?
If you do the change in the standard SAP user interface and you have not implemented any enhancement which could cause this error, I suggest to create a problem message for SAP.
