Change Work Area Type in CBIH02

Hi All,

I have created a work area in CBIH02, now as per requirement i need to change the "Work Area Type" from ST- Location to FC - Site.

How do i change this.

Solutions please.

Hi Hari,

This is very important to define the work area types, before creating the master data in system. work area type is part of header data. you can't do any modifications later on. as it is non-editable field.

you can create a new work area as per your new requirement. If you feel, the present one confuse the user attention then.....you can delete (if Not yet used) CBIH02 Menu > Edit > Delete.

If the same has been used, then system would not allow you to delete the same. that time you can change the status to "Inactive/ Historical". CBIH02 Menu > work area > status switch.

My suggestion is,  Be pro-active and take a correct decision, before defining the masterdata - work area header data.
