Hello All,

1. My first issue is When I use a specification using CG02 in change mode, the field where Change Number can be entered is greyed out.

2. Secondly when I go to Extras--> Change Document Log within specification, thats also greyed out and I am unable to run it.

Kindly please guide how this can be corrected.

Thanks,

Sachin

Hello Sachin,

the problem regarding the change number field:

please open ta-code "CG02" and press the header "Key Date for Editing" in the initial screen.

This header is situated in the top left split screen and shows the current date.

Know a popup shows up where you can add the change number.

Regarding the "Change dosument log" - this function is only available from the hit list. Please try to create the hit list, flag the specification you want to work on and than use "Extra" --> "Change Document Log".

Best regards,

Christoph

Hello Sachin,

1. You are trying to assign change no in the "Adminstration Data" section in the specification header data. This is not the place to assign ; rather it's the place to view the assigned change no., if already assigned.

To perform change management for a specification first you need to create a change master in cc31 transaction with object type "specification" checkbox active.

Now open the specification in edit mode, change/add the values, and then click on "change key date" on the left hand side of the navigation menu. Click "yes" for saving the changes, and then specify the key date for the change to be effective along with the created change master no. Now, if you see in the "Adminstration Data" section, the change no. must have appeared.

2. To be able to create change document, first go to spro>Basic data & tools>Specification mgmt.>Specification master>Creation of change document-->Specify context fields for creation of change docs. Check here whether the field which you have added/changed is available or not. If not, then add it.

Now, if you generate the hit list for the changed specification and go to Extras, the "Change document log" option should be active.

Pavan
