Hi All,
I have a scenario where I need to migrate the change document data from CDHDR, CDPOS from one system to another system. In my case, I have a downtime of around 20 hours to complete the migration. However, the table CDPOS has more than 5 billion rows and hence can't be migrated within the given time frame. Thus, I am planning to migrate the table during up time and have a few doubts on this table.
Are the entries in CDHDR / CDPOS always inserted or can existing data be changed somehow ?
If it is always inserted, then is the CHANGENR always the next number for a specific object ?
Kind Regards,
Suman

No, not all changes are recorded in CDHDR - CDPOS.
If a data element doesn't have the flag to register changes, no entry is made into CDHDR / CDPOS.

Hi Simone,
Thank you for the reply. I guess my question is a bit confusing.
I am more concerned about updates to existing data in CDPOS table i.e.
Let us assume a change document was created a month ago due to some change performed on table A in the system. Now is it possible that this data itself is somehow updated when a similar change is performed on table A today ? Or will it create a new entry with a new CHANGENR ?
Ah, sorry, i misunderstood your question.
No, the data is not updated in CDPOS, but a new entry is created.
