Hi everybody,
I have a problem with generating report shipping orders.
After I accepted them and shipped them immediately the batchjobs for generating and shipping reports start working.
The WWI server is working and sending back the correct MSDS - but then the process stops with following error message in the CG5Z log:
12.12.2009 08:31:50 Job started
12.12.2009 08:31:50 Step 001 started (program RC1WWIWP, variant , user ID ZVSDBATCH)
12.12.2009 08:31:50 A communication error occurred in the RFC call for the WWI server SV006
12.12.2009 08:31:50 Job finished
After some seconds the WWI server goes to status "Incative" in CG5Z automatically, but can be activated again.
The report shipping order in CVD1 goes to status ERROR, although the correct MSDS is assigned.
The RFC connection by SM59 is ok, the service on the WWI server is running.
We have several systems running on the same WWI server and all of them are running - only this one system is not working (system = ECC6.00).
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance and best regards,
Christoph

Hi Christopher
i too got these type of errors when we upgrading the support pack. It was caused due to a user exit name in the WWI server (Windows server) which used to have the underscore in between but renaming that user exit will resolve this problem.
Note: i was not able to remember the user exit name.

Hi Christoph,
I dont know which support package you are using for WWI. Most of the WWI server deactivation problems are solved in WWI Support pack 19, Check notes 1240591 and 1228910 to add the corrections and for further assistance.

Hi,
Please check the Batch job through SM37. You need to check the long text/ ABAP analysis by selecting the error line after executing SM37. This gives a clear idea....where exactly the issue is. Please let me know in case you need some more clarity

Hi Srinivas,
unfortunately there is no error line viewing the job with SM37:
Date Time Message text Mess. class Mess. no. Mess. type
15.12.2009 15:15:54 Job started 00 516 S
15.12.2009 15:15:54 Step 001 started (program RC1WWIWP, variant , user ID ZVSDBATCH) 00 550 S
15.12.2009 15:15:54 Job finished 00 517 S
Are did I understand you wrong?
Best regards,
Christoph
Hi Niraj,
thank you very much for this posting.
Unfortunateyl, I missed one detail: the process worked ONE time.
First we had the same problems as we are facing now. Then the WWI server / or service seems to be restarted and the process worked one time. Now we are facing the same problems as before.
So in general all security related topics or issues about the jobs itself should be fine.
Any other idea?
Best regards,
Christoph
