Following a company deployment of Office 365 (Office 2016), templates will not display in CG42. Also preview will not display.
I suspect its Office settings but not sure where to start. I'm certain other users must have same issue. Help.
Request clarification before answering.
Dear Richard
as a small add on: it is quite "normal" that after a release of WWI for a specific WinWord version some on top OSS note come up; SAP is doing the very best here. In any case. the OSS notes mentioned by Mark are the really most important one.
One small add on topic: it is always a good idea not to have a "small" retest of WWI but a "big" test if SAP is delivering a WWI version for new WinWord etc. version. Anything like:
a.) font selection
b.) includes
c.) dynamic textes
d.) Barcode printing
e.) etc.
should be retested (and WWI needs to be prepared on any WWI server and in most cases on any local client). It is strongly recommended not to use different WWI version on server and on client
C.B.

Our recent findings:
Desktop problem has been resolved by 1) installed SAPGui7.4 SP5+ and then 2) reinstalling Office 2016.
We are investigating what impact moving to Office 2016 will have on WWI processing.

Hi Thomas,
CG42 is working for me on my Office 365 - so there should be a solution to your problem .
It seems that you need to run WWI SP41!
Please check these OSS Notes:
If you do not get any error messages - I would say it is best to:
De-install your local WWI -> reboot -> install latest WWI Version (SP41) for Fronted report editing and display -> reboot -> re-test.
Hopefully that gets you some error messages - or even better a working local WWI installation
If you did get some error messages please post them here.
Another option might be to temporarily set all office security setting to super low - allowing all kinds of macro etc.

Do you mean report from template from CG02?

Mark,
Thanks for this rapid reply.
Perhaps some more explanation of my problem:
Our business is preparing to move to Office 2016. I'm a test user. None of our templates have been changed with Office 2016 as of yet (I can foresee) the need to upgrade our WWI servers when that happens.
Now that I've been upgrade to 2016, I see two problems;
CG42 - I can't display templates.
In our label print program, when I attempt to Preview a final label nothing displays.
We are not running local copies of WWI on any of our PC. We run WWI on backend servers for all out instances.
After closer review, I thought the issue was more likely related to Office 2016 on the desktop. I've upgrade the SAPGui to 7.4 SP5, which is the recommended level.
Any advise is welcome.

Whenever one uses CG42 a local WWI Installation is used and mandatory needed.
In other words: If you do not have a local WWI Installation on your PC (or Citrix Server that provides the SAP GUI) CG42 will never be able work.
Therefore please confirm that you have a local WWI Installation with SP41 (I do not know which version of WWI is part of SAP Gui 7.4 SP5 - and if you installed it with WWI).
Please post a screenshot on how the error is looking like...
Kind Regards
Mark
