Hi,

Can anyone explain me why this error "Could not Create report for specification XXX, variant IBD_MSDS, and lang EN." occured while uploading the MSDS Documnet.

your question is to general. PLease answer these questions:

1.) can you do an upload using a different specification

2.) different generation variant

3.) different language

If you have open cg50 with the specification (report tree generated) and your are using the transaction CG36VEN you can "block" yourself

PLease describe set up of generation variant etc.

No I cant upload with any specification, I have tried with different Generation variant and different language.

I have defined generation variant using T.code CG2B with report category IBD_MSDS and validity area as Saudi Arabia, where initial release status of the report is "Released" with version requirement.

Please help me out.

One more thing is this anywhere related to WWI configuration or DMS management.

due to migration SDN to SCN my last entry/comment is lost. Anyhow:

a.) please check transaction su53 after you have used the upload transaction; feeling: you need additional access rights; here (by using su53) you will get an overview if you have the right access rights

b.) assumption: you have prepared pdf as a document type in customizing? (DMS setup)?

c.) do not use the status "Released". Use "ready" instead; if you are doing wrong (wrong specification etc.) you can not cancel your upload

d.) make sure that customicing regarding document type "IBD" is ready etc.

e:) you should not ! change assignment of validity area to gen variant. Saudi Arabia is possible but using a gen variant like "IBD_MSDS" you do not know that in the background Saudi Arabia is used. May be use: "IBD_MSDS_US" etc. (donÄt know actually country code of Saudi Arabia)
