Hello experts,
I am facing the below issues while importing the Specification DAT file through CG33. Please see the below steps that i performed,
Question 1)
(When i delete the Specs , Are they not completely deleted from the system ? is that why i am not able create the 2 specs again through CG33?)
Question 2)
Question 3)
While doing CG33 Import for DG_CL_SUB. In the parameters TAB its taking Standard Property Tree directly . If i dont change that to DG_CL_TREE, DG Tree data will not be loaded ? please clarify
Question 4)
Whats the best way to learn CG33 Spec Import? I dont see exact insight of CG33 in help.sap. also. Can anyone please provide suggestions/docs/info?
Kindly clarify as per the above questions.
Thank you so much in advance.
Best regards

Question 1)
(When i delete the Specs , Are they not completely deleted from the system ? is that why i am not able create the 2 specs again through CG33?)
A: Please run the program RC1PHDEL for physical deletion from table
consolut - RC1PHDEL - EHS: Set Missing Deletion Indicators and Physically Delete Data
Question 2)
A: Why you are trying to import and export UN list specs data ? This is regulatory you need get from SERC or ADM or you can do ALE disctribution from one system to other system.
Question 3)
While doing CG33 Import for DG_CL_SUB. In the parameters TAB its taking Standard Property Tree directly . If i dont change that to DG_CL_TREE, DG Tree data will not be loaded ? please clarify.
A: DG_CL_TREE properties will be available in Standard Property tree as well , those can be updated. Again ALE is the best way to transfer the DG data, cause DG data will be checked in one system by DG Experts after corrections we can move that to other system via ALE transfer.
Question 4)
Whats the best way to learn CG33 Spec Import? I dont see exact insight of CG33 in help.sap. also. Can anyone please provide suggestions/docs/info?
A: https://answers.sap.com/questions/390705/specification-load.html
There are so many hits available in google or you can follow SAP standard documents for that.
I hope it helps .
Thanks

Why you are trying to import and export UN list specs data ? This is regulatory you need get from SERC or ADM or you can do ALE disctribution from one system to other system.
Answer: Because we are receiving the DAT files for the IN List and DG Sub from the Client. is this not the good approach ?
Then why i am able to import all the data but missing some of the data in Risk Potential and Transport APPROVAL tab for the regulation ADR.
DG_CL_TREE properties will be available in Standard Property tree as well , those can be updated. Again ALE is the best way to transfer the DG data, cause DG data will be checked in one system by DG Experts after corrections we can move that to other system via ALE transfer.
Answer: All the DG_CL_TREE, LS_UN_TREE , will all the properties of these property trees will present in the standard property tree?
If i am importing UN-LIS_SUB spec, if i choose Standard Property tree instead of LS_UN_TREE. Will it update the LS_UN_TREE?
Moving the DG Data through ALE means,UL_LIS_SUB should be moved first right ?(I am not sure please clarify)
Please provide if any useful information you have on moving the DG_CL_SUB/UN_LIS_SUB data through ALE.
Looking eagerly to hear back from you,
Thank you so much in advance
Best regards

Hi Satya,
I have run RC1PHDEL for physical deletion from table. And when i upload the DAT file, still the same issue is showing up.
Please see the job log below
I am not able to create the Spec with the same name UN1. Meesage :
Kindly suggest
Hello Chowdary R
There are lot Whys ?
With out knowing the proper logs, we cannot comment on that , anyway you need to check step by step or you take guidance with senior consultants and google it.
When i check your screenshot , i found that you are using the parameters wrongly , Parameters plays key roles in Importing , please check and read carefully , how it can be used.
Thanks
Satya

Hello
in context of:
i Satya,
I have run RC1PHDEL for physical deletion from table. And when i upload the DAT file, still the same issue is showing up.
Please see the job log below
I am not able to create the Spec with the same name UN1. Meesage :
=> please check your data base. If you have used RC1PHDEL properly the specification "X" (whatever x is) is deleted completely. BUt if you have not used it properly, then the specification "X" is only "logically deleted"
Check on top your load file and load approach. The full story depends on the "correct sequence" and how you use the "import".
But here: i have the feeling that RC1PHDEL was may be not used correct

Hello
regarding: Why I am not able to import all the Identifiers present in DAT file? Why I am missing 1 or 2 Identifiers while importing?
it seems to be that you generated a seperate thread. I will provide some suggestions there.
Regarding;
What does "sometimes" means? to make it short:
for which "dat file" (or in whcih situaiotn) you succeed to get something and for which not?
Honestly: DG data is not easy to handle (not only looking on "import" story)

Hi Satya, and CB,
Thank you so much for your response,
Could you please let me know the below point w.r.to CG33 Import
Even though the above data is present in DAT file, why i am not able to import few of them while doing the CG33 Spec Import.
Please see the attached Import parameters that i have used spec-import-parameters1.jpg spec-import-parameters2.jpg
Please provide the suggestions. This will help me a lot.
Thank you so much in advance

Hello
may be check
https://answers.sap.com/questions/10841906/issue-found-in-ehs-in-using-specification-data-imp.html
https://answers.sap.com/questions/9511160/please-update-how-to-migrate-and-create1000-substa.html
and many other threads. Thgis process is "hard to learn and to use"
E.g. here an example of use of "OCC" (and issues as discussed)

Hello
regarding:
We can only read between the lines. As long as we do not "exactly" know the content of the "dat files" it is not easy to "judge".
May be (reading a lot between the lines) there might be a "small" misunderstanding on your side
The story would run as:
If you create data using the data import you generate "spec id". You have used the correct sequence. So first do the load/preparation of "UN_LIS_SUB"
But in the second step i see a potential issue
You have create successfully the "DG_CL_SUB"; and now you "assume" that some assignment might be done (based on dat file) to UN_LIS_SUB: here I see an issue.
Only if you have manipulated by your own the "dat" file for"DG_CL_SUB" (e.g. by using the spec id in the data stream of UN_LIS_SUB) the assignement will be done correct so that the DG_CL_SUB get "DG" data (refering to the UN_LIS_SUB)
The story is on the "same" level like with a "composition". First you must prepare "PURE_SUB"; then you need to write done "spec id" of PURE_SUB and then by preparing correct dat file you can use the PURE_SUB" as part of a composition.
PLEASE CHECK THE MANY THREADS (and BLOGS)for data export/import
The best to learn is not starting with the "import" but with the "export". If you just use on "prepared" DG_CL_SUB spec id and do the export you will realize the "structure" of the "import file". This can really help.
Most of the consultants (I would assume) "hate" CG33 because of this "strange" DAT structure
With OCC it is "simpler" (BUT check the corresponding BLOGS for use of OCC); Still we can see a lot of "trouble" here
But as with WWI and other related EHS stuff.. if you start the process you will see issues and then you will learn step by step; at the end you will be an experienced user of the process
PS: the online help is a good starting point; but check the many threads... you will see lot of pitfalls
Wish you success

Question 4)
Whats the best way to learn CG33 Spec Import? I dont see exact insight of CG33 in help.sap. also. Can anyone please provide suggestions/docs/info?
Kindly clarify as per the above questions.
Thank you so much in advance.
=> sorry there is nothing more in place than "online help" (and the many threads you will find here); no other documentation is available
And yes; it is a hard to learn the correct use of the import/Export process; but sorry to say. YOU will need quite often (e.g.to fill an "empty" system) (https://blogs.sap.com/2017/09/04/data-migration-in-ehs-classic/, e.g. https://answers.sap.com/questions/10024618/data-migration-for-sap-ehs.html (and many other similar threads)
If you are a "super experienced" person havgin "long long" experience with ALE: this is an option as well for import. BUt I have nether get on touch with a person trying this option. But in theory: it is possibel (Non SAP => SAP data transfer). We can see some rare threads (may be <3) regarding this option here.
