Cg02 Property tree value assignment entries got disabled

Hallo All ,

Im facing a strange issue in cg02 screen my property tree value assignment entries got disabled, this happened today till yesterday it was working fine , VATs , Classes and Characteristics are in place and i could not see entries for standard as well ,

Anyone faced this kind of behavior CG02 , please let me know if you fix this already.

I could see the entries for composition but not for normal VAT.

Hello CB ,

We got an answer tech team activated BADI enhancement got Table based value assignment ,this is cause of the issue.

can you please check: is the behaviour the same on "LIST_SUB", "PURe_SUB" etc. level?

I assume (hopefully) we talk about a "Dev" or "Qual" system. I can not imagine that this "effect" was not seen in "Dev" or "Qual" (before you potentially have moved it to prod).

I can really not believe that some "ABAP" is in place... most f the companies will never ever change this "lool and feel" of UI in CG02 (even if you can do so). But it is possible that ABAP is "in the game" and not only customizing.

The issue i have is that, according to your explanation that there i no effect for val. assign. of type e.g. "B" or "C" (can you check the other special ones please (DG story).).

Sorry to say: The "table based" part was my first quess (this is a "common" error happening having exactly the effect you have shown).

Was there an "update" of property tree ?

I assume: the subsreens for "Usage" etc. are the same... (as before)

PS: you can do a "cross check". e.g. if you use output variant "EXCEL" then e...g you should see the data (e.g. density).

PPS: the "concentration" characteristic is listed in your screen as "phrase enabled" please check. (column with "Phrase text"), currently not sure i this is correct.

Happy New Year , and wish you the best for 2021 ,

Those kind of basic checks are already done , table based entries are perfectly fine,

This is happening for all VATs in my system (standard and customizing VATs as well ),

If you see my first screen shot even i could not see Characteristic description as well in CG02 , I think the issue something deeper in coding level not something at basic customization level , cause till 2 days back i can able to see the entries , Yesterday somethings got changed which is causing the issue.

I need to debug the issue and check, any tips would be appreciated.

hope you have had a good start in 2021. My best guess is: there was a customizing transport imported. Please check the set up for "Value assignment story" (Table based part)

Only if this set up is done properly (by value assignment) then you can display class/characteristic data

Other option can be: you can completely "redesign" the look and feel of CG02. But i can not imagine that you have tried to do so
