cfolders is not supported with S/4 HANA

Hi Experts,

We are planning to migrate PPM 6.1 to PPM1.0 on S/4HANA . While reading documentation for this we found cfolders is not supported anymore with S/4HANA instead SAP document center is available for that.

Here, we are not sure of how SAP document Center will help us in creating collaboration scenarios and material BOMs with AIF forms.

Please enlighten us on this solution and its adaptability to us.

You should probably look for new SAP solution called Intelligent Product Design which is new collaboration platform.

It is built on SAP Document Center, I would ask you to trial account available to explore the features. It does also has an integration with Ariba for pulling out suppliers.

Hi,

I am not aware of any migration tool, this needs to be realized by customers (cFolders has a native API and Document Center is also based on a CMIS interface). But one possible way could be to download cFolders documents to your local drive and upload them into Document Center. You could download it into a synced folder on a local PC so that the files get automatically uploaded into Document Center (requires native Windows Client).

The folder structure however has to be recreated manually, so this is only applicable for a small number of files.

Hi,

yes, cFolders is not available anymore with SAP Portfolio and Project Management for SAP S/4HANA, see SAP note 2348430.

For more details, I think the experts from SAP Document Center area may be more qualified to assist you.
