Hi All,
I'm facing some problems when I'm trying to delimit some risk assessment at CBIH02/03. The fields Valid From and Valid To can't be changed. What is the correct procedure (if there is one) to change de valid to date of a risk assessment?
I've found somenthing about versions (change number) but I'm note sure if its the best way to solve me problem.
Could anybody help me?
Thanks in advance,
Nelson Bertolino

Hello Nelson,
Here's the information.
1) What is the correct procedure (if there is one) to change de valid to date of a risk assessment?
Risk Assessment validity is delimited using " Follow On Assessment",
You need to selet the risk assessment and click on button "Follow On Assessment" under Edit Risk Assesment
2) I've found somenthing about versions (change number) but I'm note sure if its the best way to solve me problem.
The previous Risk Asssment is completed
You need to ensure - the data for "value Assignment after check" - is entered. i.e. the data must be initial - "Detailed Information on Assessment"
Coming to change numbers system automatically assigns the change number for Risk Assessments.
You can check this information under CBIH12 -
Utilities - Administration Information.
Thanks

Hello,
At first, thank you for the information. It was very helpful.
I think I didn't express myself in the correct way. In fact, I want to create a new risk on a work area with a specific starting date. I noticed that this information (start date) comes from the start date of the work area. I've debugged CBIH02 to identify this.
I can't change this value (start date). The only way I've found to do this is creating a version of the work area. To do this, I'll have to use the version control (change number). Is it correct?
Does anybody have an alternative to solve this?
Thank you all, again.

Hello Nelson,
The need for delimiting some already performed risk assessment may arise out of the following two reasons:
1. You wish to repeat the risk assessment as some specified period is over.
2. Some changes (equipments/operating conditions/org changes) have happened calling for revisiting the risks associated.
Above is handled in SAP through the concept of "Follow-on risk assessment" . Logically, you must have completed all the safety measures defined for the original assessment and then have defined "value assignment after check" before actually delimiting its validity. When you create a follow-on assessment you limit the validity of the original risk assessment (by assigning it a version) and it can no longer be edited. The historical data is thus retained and can be accessed at any time.
Alternatively, you may also delimit its validity without defining safety measures and hence not performing "value assgnt after check".
You can assign version directly to work area, not to the risk assessments. The best way is to do the "follow-on" assessments only.

Pavan
