Cannot create Folder or Document in SAP Easy Document Management

Hi,

I've recently installed SAP Easy Document Management but cannot create any Folder or Document. Each time I try to create new Folder or Document, the error "Exception occurred" or "Superior document has no structure" will occur, respectively.

Please help me on this problem.

Hi,

regarding the first mentioned error message I would recommend you to check the dump stored in the backend system by using transaction ST22. Normally if such exceptions appear in EasyDMS there should be a dump created in the backend as well.

The second error message indicates that the folder document info record where you try to create this B2X document is not properly created as header document of a bill of documents (BoD). So to check this please get the properties of the folder document in EasyDMS and with this documentnumber and type go to transaction CV13 and try to display this document. If this is not BoD header then please go to transaction CV11 and use the same document info record data to make it a BoD header.

The Folder where I try to create this B2X document is EDIPUBLICROOTFOLDER and it's already a header of document of BoD. Do you have any other idea with this problem?

so in CV12 you can add an existing B2X document info record to the EDIPUBLICROOTFOLDER document?

Also please confirm if there is a dump stored in ST22.

I can add an existing B2X document info record to the EDIPUBLICROOTFOLDER as shown in the attached Image but through SAP GUI, not SAP EDM.

I also try to create new folder by User PHUONGLM in SAP EDM, the system displayed "Exception occurred" error but no dump stored in ST22.

If you face this behavior for all users I would recommend to raise a SAP ticket under component CA-DMS-EUI because then the reason needs to be debugged in detail.
