Calculating Expected Start and End Time for a Production Order

I am trying to develop an application using MII 12.0 for the following scenario.

A Production Order has many sequences.Sequences branch in and out from the standard sequence.

A sequence is having many Operations.

An operation of Production Order is carried out at each WorkCenter(WC).

An operator can take break in between the operation.

The WC could be in downtime.

For each WC the shift timings might be different.

Based on the Build Date of the Production Order I have to sequence them.

Is it possible to calculate expected start time and expected end time for each operation and hence for the Production Order based on the above scenario?

Is MII the apt tool to do so??

If you have SAP ERP, I would suggest looking at their scheduling tools. They may not be sufficient for your purposes, especially if you have to consider WC downtime, but worth looking at. Depending upon how you have your orders set up, I think it can automatically project your start and end dates. You may be able to take those dates and adjust for WC downtime using MII rather than having MII do the entire job.

With MII, you will have to build the logic from scratch using the entire router/recipe and incorporating the projected WC downtime (where would this come from?) and that would take some time.

Good luck,

Mike
